Seahawks center Max Unger practiced Friday and is good to go for Sunday’s game against New England, according to coach Pete Carroll. The Seahawks’ offensive captain missed two practice days this week with a hip injury.
Defensive tackle Clinton McDonald is listed as doubtful with a groin injury.
Defensive tackle Jaye Howard and guard John Moffitt are both ruled out. Moffitt might need another two weeks for his knee injury to be fully recovered, according to Carroll.
Carroll said the team had a good week of practice preparing for New England’s no- huddle, up-tempo offense. The only thing missing for the defense was being able to tackle guys, get up off the ground then head back to the line of scrimmage.
Seattle’s offensive linemen will have to move some massive Patriots in order for Marshawn Lynch to get the run game going.
Carroll said he was glad it rained a little Friday so his guys could practice protecting a wet football. The Patriots lead the league in turnover margin, and Sunday’s Seattle weather forecast calls for a 60 percent chance of rain and 15-mph wind.
