Seahawks fullback Michael Robinson is 30 years old, has a contract that is scheduled to count $2.5 million against the 2013 salary cap and plays for a team is constantly looking to get younger.

He’s also an adept lead blocker with a Pro Bowl on his resume and a good rapport with running back Marshawn Lynch, not to mention a locker-room leader and a special-teams captain.

Those are both sides of the question about Robinson’s future with the Seahawks, which was raised when Seattle drafted Spencer Ware in the sixth round with the stated intention of using him as a fullback. That question is at the forefront this week as Ware has continued to stand out during the preseason while Robinson has been sidelined because of an illness.

Could the Seahawks really move on from Robinson in a cost-saving move? Brock Huard and Danny O’Neil explain in the video below why they don’t see it happening.
