Seahawks Thursday injury report: Five players return, Lynch sits

Seattle’s improving health was reflected in Thursday’s injury report as five players returned to practice after not participating Wednesday.
Notably absent, however, was running back Marshawn Lynch, who got his usual rest day on Wednesday and sat out again Thursday, his calf the issue listed on the injury report. Also absent was defensive lineman Michael Bennett, who has recently not practiced on Thursdays but hasn’t missed a game.
The five players who returned to practice were wide receiver Doug Baldwin, center Max Unger, cornerback Byron Maxwell, defensive end O’Brien Schofield and defensive tackle Jordan Hill.
While those players’ return to practice is a sign of the Seahawks’ improving health, the injuries aren’t entirely behind the team yet. Four other players remained out for the second straight day: left guard James Carpenter, strong safety Kam Chancellor, center Stephen Schilling and linebacker Malcolm Smith.
