Seahawks rookie Tyler Lockett was named a first-team Associated Press All-Pro as a kick returner on Friday while cornerback Richard Sherman and linebacker Bobby Wagner were second-team selections.
Lockett was the only rookie selected to the first team, which is chosen by a panel of 50 voters who regularly cover the NFL. He was one of only two players who ranked in the top 10 in average yards per return in both punt (10th, 9.5) and kickoff (eighth, 25.8). He scored two return touchdowns and was named the NFC’s special-teams player of the month for both September and December.
Here are all the first-team selections.
Sherman was a first-team All-Pro the last three years. He was beaten out for that honor this season by Carolina’s Josh Norman and Arizona’s Patrick Peterson.
Wagner was a first-team selection last year. Carolina’s Luke Kuechly and San Francisco’s NaVorro Bowman were the inside linebackers selected ahead of him this season.
