Colts sign Trey Griffey — Ken Griffey Jr.’s son — as undrafted free agent

The Colts reportedly signed undrafted free-agent wide receiver Trey Griffey, the eldest son of Hall of Fame Mariner Ken Griffey Jr., on Sunday.

The 6-foot-3 Griffey notched 23 receptions for 382 yards and two touchdowns last season with the University of Arizona. He best season for the Wildcats came in 2014, where he caught 31 passes for 405 yards.
Trey was a multi-sport athlete in high school and was selected by the Mariners in the 24th round of the 2016 amateur draft — the same year that Griffey Jr. was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame. Trey has said his passion and focus is on football and not baseball.
