Seahawks strong safety Kam Chancellor missed practice again on Friday, another sign that he’s unlikely to play Monday night against Buffalo.

That would – and probably will – be the fourth straight game Chancellor has missed due to a groin injury. Coach Pete Carroll has called it a “substantial pull,” and while he’s expressed optimism at the start of each of the past few weeks that Chancellor was about to return, he hasn’t.

Chancellor injured his groin in practice on Oct. 13, three days before Seattle played Atlanta. Asked Thursday if Chancellor has experienced a setback with the injury, Carroll said: “After about 10 days, he tried and it just didn’t feel right. So it showed that he wasn’t making the progress that we could have hoped for, so it’s just set him back a bit in that regard.”

So it will in all likelihood be Kelcie McCray at strong safety Monday night against Buffalo.

Seattle’s defense could have one injured starter back for that game. Linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis was listed as a full participant Friday after not practicing at all on Thursday. He’s been dealing with a sprained ankle that has kept him out of the past two games.

Quarterback Russell Wilson was again listed as a full participant, another sign that his pectoral injury isn’t affecting him in practice the way it was last week.

Left tackle Bradley Sowell was again listed as limited, suggesting there’s at least some chance that he plays Monday night despite being less than two weeks removed from a sprained MCL.

Tight end Jimmy Graham (knee) was also listed as limited Friday after full participation Thursday. That has been the case several times this season and Graham has yet to miss a game, so his limited participation Friday could merely be for maintenance purposes.

Did not participate

• RB Thomas Rawls (fibula)
• TE Luke Willson (knee)
• DE Michael Bennett (knee)
• SS Kam Chancellor (groin)
• CB DeAndre Elliott (hamstring)

Limited participation

• LT Bradley Sowell (knee)
• TE Jimmy Graham (knee)

Full participation

• QB Russell Wilson (knee/pectoral)
• DE Cliff Avril (groin)
• DT Tony McDaniel (ankle)
• LB Kevin Pierre-Louis (ankle)
