Former Washington quarterback Jake Locker joined the Calabro show on Friday and discussed his work with former NFL quarterback Ken O’Brien.
Locker said O’Brien is helping him with the Xs and Os side of being a quarterback.
“I think the mental aspect of the game is as important or even more important at that next level,” he said. “Making sure that you understand what defenses are doing, you understand where they’re going and what you need to be prepared for as well as making sure you’re eally confident when you’re out there throwing the football. So I think it kind of goes hand in hand.”
Locker also discussed his experience at the NFL scouting combine. He said he hasn’t heard anything about his score on the Wonderlic exam, an aptitude test that all players take at the combine.
Locker said his wedding is set for July in Ferndale. He is engaged to former UW softball player Lauren Greer.
