It’s been quite the journey, but former SuperSonic Vin Baker is back with the NBA.
The former power forward who allegedly squandered $100 million while battling alcoholism and bounced between jobs that included being a minister and Starbucks manager has landed back with the team that drafted him, the Milwaukee Bucks, as a TV analyst.

Baker will work on Fox Sports Wisconsin’s “Bucks Live” pregame and postgame shows, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The eighth overall pick in the 1993 NBA draft played five of his 13 seasons in Seattle, averaging 15 points and more than 7 rebounds per game between the 1997-98 and 2000-01 seasons. He, like former teammate Gary Payton, have helped young Bucks players during the NBA’s Summer League in Las Vegas.
“I’m thrilled for this opportunity to come back home to my Bucks family and join the world-class broadcast team that the Bucks and Fox Sports Wisconsin have assembled,” Baker said in a news release. “I have so many great memories from spending the first years of my career in Milwaukee, and have been honored to be a part of the staff at NBA Summer League these last two years working with our young group. I look forward to joining the great team at Fox to provide thoughtful analysis based on my unique experiences in the NBA for Bucks fans tuning in throughout the season.”
