Shawn O’Malley is hitting leadoff and playing shortstop in place of Ketel Marte tonight as the Mariners go for a series win against left-hander Jose Quintana and the White Sox at Safeco Field.
This will be the third of four games that Marte has been out. He didn’t play Saturday after injuring his ankle the night before then missed last night’s game with what manager Scott Servais said was an illness.
Wade Miley will deliver the first pitch at 7:10 on 710 ESPN Seattle (pregame coverage begins at 6).
