The Seahawks have been awarded rookie running back Allen Bradford via a waiver claim, the team announced Friday afternoon.
Bradford was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the sixth round of this year’s draft out of USC. For the Buccaneers, he logged one regular season game — last week against San Francisco.
The Buccaneers waived the rookie on Thursday to open up a spot on the active roster and were unsuccessful in adding him back to the practice squad once Seattle made the claim.
The Seahawks have also placed linebacker Jameson Konz on the injured reserve as a result of a season-ending ACL tear which will require surgery.
With the Aaron Curry trade to the Oakland Raiders, one spot now remains open on the active roster.
The players are off through the weekend for the bye and resume practice on Monday.
