RENTON – Seahawks defensive end Chris Clemons was back at practice Wednesday before the team left for Arizona. Whether he plays Thursday night against the Cardinals, though, is still very much up in the air.

“We’re going to work him out in pregame,” coach Pete Carroll said of Clemons, who’s listed as questionable. “He practiced a little bit today, and he definitely has a chance.”

Clemons suffered an injury to his elbow during the second half of Seattle’s victory over the Titans. He missed the first two days of practice this week, was limited Wednesday and is the only real uncertainty for Seattle for Thursday’s game.

Tight end Zach Miller and running back Marshawn Lynch are listed as probable, and under the league’s injury report guidelines that equates to a virtual certainty they will be available for normal duty. Miller has been held out of the past two games because of a hamstring injury while Lynch has been bothered by a sore hip.

Running back Spencer Ware (ankle), offensive tackle Breno Giacomini (knee) and linebacker Bobby Wagner (ankle) are all out for the game.

Giacomini has been out the past three games after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his knee. He had fluid removed from that knee last weekend, and Carroll said Wednesday that the result of that procedure has been encouraging.

“He’s turned the corner also,” Carroll said of Giacomini. “He’s moving around well. He’s not limping around or anything. They had to remove some fluid from his knee that made a big difference.”

Carroll did not offer a timeline for Giacomini’s return, but indicated it might be sooner rather than later.

“This is the kind of surgery that could have come back within four or five weeks,” Carroll said. “He still has a chance to do that, but he’s not going to be far off that.”

Giacomini underwent the surgery on Sept. 30.
