Watch: Seahawks’ Paul Richardson makes unreal 1-handed TD catch

Jan 7, 2017, 6:56 PM | Updated: 9:16 pm

Paul Richardson has been getting more opportunities in the Seahawks’ offense ever since Tyler Lockett suffered a season-ending broken leg on Dec. 24. In Saturday’s 26-6 playoff win over Detriot, Richardson made the most of one of those extra chances to shine.

The third-year wide receiver out of Colorado made an unreal one-handed catch for a 2-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter, reaching out from under Detroit safety Tavon Wilson to give Seattle the first score of the game.

The catch was remarkable not just for the fact that Richardson made it with only one hand and while falling to the ground, but also because Wilson was flagged for pass interference on the play. And sure, Richardson probably could have been called for a facemask on the play himself, but that’s hardly any reason to not marvel at such an unbelievable TD catch.

Watch the play here:

By the way, that wasn’t even Richardson’s last amazing one-handed grab of the game. He made another to get Seattle a first down in the fourth quarter. You can see a picture of that catch in our photo gallery from the game.
