There’s a new name on the list of reported Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator candidates.

As part of an article posted Saturday night about OC searches across the NFL, CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones reported that Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich has interviewed for Seattle’s vacant offensive coordinator job.
Stenavich is the sixth reported candidate to interview with the Seahawks. The others are New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, Detroit Lions offensive line coach Hank Fraley, Minnesota Vikings assistant offensive coordinator/assistant quarterbacks coach Grant Udinski, former Chicago Bears interim head coach Thomas Brown and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich.
Kubiak, Fraley and Udinski each reportedly met with the Seahawks in-person for second interviews.
Fraley is now out of the running. He reportedly is staying in Detroit after receiving a promotion to add run game coordinator to his title.
Stenavich, 41, has been the Packers’ offensive coordinator for the past three seasons under head coach Matt LaFleur. But while Stenavich holds the OC title, LaFleur is Green Bay’s offensive play-caller. That would make an OC role with a team like Seattle – where he would call plays – a potential upgrade for him.
Stenavich has been on LaFleur’s coaching staff in Green Bay for the past six seasons. Prior to being the OC, Stenavich was the Packers’ offensive line coach in 2019 and 2020, and the team’s O-line coach/run game coordinator in 2021.
Before that, Stenavich spent 2017 and 2018 as the assistant O-line coach for the San Francisco 49ers under head coach Kyle Shanahan, who is considered one of the league’s brightest offensive minds.
During his playing career, Stenavich was a two-time All-Big Ten left tackle at Michigan. He went on to spend several seasons bouncing around NFL practice squads, but never appeared in a game.
Stenavich’s offensive line background no doubt would appeal to the Seahawks, who were once again hampered by widespread struggles in the trenches this past season.
Seattle’s OC position has been open since Jan. 6, when Ryan Grubb was let go following one up-and-down season in the role.
