The Seahawks took care of the Arizona Cardinals in a 27-10 win Sunday, and three players were clear standouts on offense.

First is running back Chris Carson, who rebounded from three straight games with a lost fumble to rush for a season-high 104 yards on 22 carries – and most importantly no fumbles.

Then there is tight end Will Dissly, who led Seattle with seven catches and 57 receiving yards and caught his fourth touchdown in three games.

And you can’t forget about the quarterback, Russell Wilson, who threw 22 of 28 for 240 yards and a touchdown, giving him eight TDs to no interceptions in four games this season.

The Pete Carroll Show, which airs at 9:30 a.m. the day after every Seahawks game on 710 ESPN Seattle’s Danny and Gallant, covered the Seahawks’ win on Monday morning. Here’s what Seattle’s head coach had to say about the three big offensive performers in Arizona.

Carroll on Carson

“Big game for Chris. … He needed to take this step. … It was really important to me that he would get the chance to show it and he did a fantastic job. He had a great game. Under the circumstances, because of the issues about fumbling the ball, he just put it to rest. … (Question: Did he do anything in practice to make sure the ball doesn’t come out?) Yes. Yes. Better than ever. He had his best week ever. Chris has always been a guy we’ve coached up in this area. He has a style (where) there’s a lot of movement with the football, so we’ve been coaching him forever (on hanging on to the football) and it just hit so hard that he just did a better job this week than he has in the past.”

Did Seahawks know Dissly could catch like this when they scouted him out of UW?

“You couldn’t see enough on film of the catches to say what kind of hands he had, but when we went to his workout at UW, he just looked really natural. He looked really smooth and his hand placement was really tight, so that was like, ‘Hey, maybe he has really good hands, too.’ We didn’t see any reason not to think that, but he looked a little better than we expected. … In camp the first year (in 2018), he dropped some balls. He didn’t catch everything but he showed the kind of technical hand-eye coordination that you could see that he had good hands, but he was just focus and concentration and stuff like that early on. That’s all behind him. He’s on it. … He’s doing great. He’s having a great start to the season.”

Wilson ‘the best he’s ever been’

“Russell’s playing fantastic football. I mean, he is just on it. In all ways, he is in control of so much. … His expectations are really high. Our expectations of him are really high. We are counting on him across the board in how he handles things. He’s the best he’s ever been, and it’s a great time to go play a really good team (Thursday against the Rams).”

That’s just a little bit of what Carroll talked about with Danny O’Neil and Paul Gallant. Listen to the full Pete Carroll Show at this link or in the player embedded below.
