The Mariners were very quiet at the MLB trade deadline, but they did make a minor deal Wednesday.

Seattle sent minor-league infielder Robert Andino to the Pittsburgh Pirates for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

Andino played 29 games for the Mariners this season, hitting .184 with five runs, four doubles and four RBIs before being sent down to Triple-A Tacoma on May 27. With the Rainiers, the 29-year-old had a .229 average with 17 runs, five doubles, a triple, three home runs and 12 RBIs in 44 games.

Andino was acquired by the Mariners from the Baltimore Orioles for outfielder Trayvon Robinson on Nov. 20, 2012.
