710 ESPN Seattle and the Seattle Mariners have extended their radio rights agreement through the 2016 season, the team and Bonneville International announced Monday.

Their deal previously ran through the 2014 season.

“Our relationship with Bonneville and 710 ESPN is an excellent one. We look forward to three more seasons on 710 ESPN’s powerful signal and the Mariners Radio Network across the Northwest,” said Mariners president and COO Chuck Armstrong.

710 ESPN Seattle/KIRO has been the Mariners’ radio home since 2009. KIRO was the team’s flagship radio station from 1985 through the 2002 season.

710 ESPN Seattle will continue to carry all the team’s regular-season games and most spring-training games along with pregame and postgame shows, a weekly magazine feature during the baseball season and “The Hot Stove League Show” during the offseason.

“We are delighted to be part of the rich tradition and the exciting future of Mariners baseball,” said Carl Gardner, Bonneville Seattle’s vice president and general manager. “It’s our privilege to allow fans to follow their team at home, in the car, and on the go across the Northwest.”
