Tight end Tony Moeaki is inactive for the Seahawks’ divisional-round game against Carolina, sidelined due to a calf strain he sustained in practice last week.
Moeaki was Seattle’s only question mark in terms of availability, having been listed as questionable after not practicing at all last week. Safety Jeron Johnson had already been ruled out because of an elbow injury.
None of the other five players Seattle declared inactive were on the injury report at any point last week. Those players are: cornerback Marcus Burley, center Lemuel Jeanpierre, guard Keavon Milton, defensive tackle Landon Cohen and wide receiver Kevin Norwood.
Seattle will welcome back five players who didn’t play in Week 17 because of injuries, including two starters in center Max Unger and wide receiver Jermaine Kearse. Tight end Cooper Helfet, defensive lineman Demarcus Dobbs and cornerback Tharold Simon are also available.
Helfet is one of two healthy tight ends along with Luke Willson. Dobbs figures to be part of Seattle’s defensive-line rotation, helping fill Jordan Hill’s role as an interior pass rusher.
