Hour 1: The Hot Stove, Feb. 16
Hour 2: The Hot Stove, Feb. 16
• “Mr. Mariner” Alvin Davis (interview starts at the 9:55 mark of the first hour), who is helping the organization as a hitting instructor, shared his thoughts on the hitting summit held in Arizona last month and how valuable it will end up being in the long run for the team. • At the 32:05 mark of Hour 1, Mariners broadcaster Dave Sims joins the show to give an update on his health after undergoing surgery this offseason for prostate cancer. He also touches on the outlook for the M’s heading into spring training and what Black History Month means to him.
• In Hour 2 at the 8:00 mark, the show welcomes relief pitcher Tony Zych, one of the few members from last year’s bullpen to return to the team for the 2016 season.
• At 16:50 of the second hour, baseball writer Jonah Keri of CBS Sports and Sports Illustrated looked at what the new regime of GM Jerry Dipoto and manager Scott Servais have done this offseason as well as why he’s expecting big things from young Seattle starter Taijuan Walker.
