A former Seattle Seahawk and current Denver Bronco Ryan Murphy was questioned Tuesday evening during a prostitution sting in San Jose, according to CBS News.
A Santa Clara County multi-agency human trafficking task force conducted a prostitution sting Feb. 2 and detained a woman as a result. That suspected prostitute told police she had personal items in a nearby car. In that car, police found Murphy along with his brother.
Murphy was questioned and then released by police. The woman and Murphy’s brother, however, were cited, CBS reports.
Murphy’s time with the Seattle Seahawks was very brief.
He was a seventh round draft out of Oregon State University to the Seahawks in May 2015. He was waived, however, in September. Murphy then joined the practice squad for his current team, the Denver Broncos.
Murphy grew up in Oakland, Calif.
