Marshawn Lynch’s agent denies report of new deal with Seahawks
Marshawn Lynch’s agent has denied a report of a new deal between the Seahawks and their star running back.
Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com Tweeted Saturday evening that Lynch “has a new deal in place with the Seahawks” before laying out the terms of the deal, reporting that it includes $12 million in 2015 and $9 million in 2016.
Lynch’s agent, Doug Hendrickson, denied that report less than 10 minutes later via Twitter.
So after the report and the denial, it appears that it’s status quo between Lynch and the Seahawks. Coach Pete Carroll said Friday that the Seahawks have made “big offers” to Lynch. According to 710Sports.com’s Danny O’Neil, whatever offer is currently on the table likely includes an expiration date.
