2015 NFL DRAFT

Agent: Kristjan Sokoli signs rookie deal with Seahawks

May 7, 2015, 1:49 PM | Updated: Apr 8, 2016, 10:50 am

Offensive lineman Kristjan Sokoli has become the first of the Seahawks’ eight draft picks to sign his rookie deal.

That news came from his agent, Brett Tessler, who Tweeted Thursday that Sokoli’s deal is for four years. That’s the standard length for players drafted outside the first round.

With rookie contracts now slotted, Sokoli’s should be similar to that of last year’s 214th overall pick, quarterback Garrett Gilbert. His deal was worth a little under $2.3 million over four years.

Sokoli was a defensive tackle at Buffalo, but the Seahawks drafted him in the sixth round with the intention of converting him to an offensive lineman. The team said Sokoli will begin as a center.
