Minnesota Vikings kicker Blair Walsh is getting some much-needed love…from little first-grade hearts at Northpoint Elementary in Blaine. Ben Garvin reports: http://kare11.tv/1mTOEwW

At this point, most Seahawks fans probably feel bad for Vikings kicker Blair Walsh, who missed the game-winning kick Sunday against Seattle. That’s not the case for many people in the Twin Cities.
Some Minnesota first graders, however, wrote letters to cheer up the sad Viking and to tell Walsh that they are thinking of him, as part of a program that teaches kids to learn about empathy.
What do they have to say to the Vikings’ kicker? Some good thoughts, like maybe he needs to practice more, and that he’s handsome…that the Seahawks are better than the Vikings. Hey, they’re kids.
