Wyman’s Football 101: Do Seahawks need to modernize on offense? 49ers didn’t

Since the Seahawks’ season came to a close, there’s been a lot of talk about the offense.
Some people, like former WSU and Seahawks wide receiver Michael Bumpus, want to see more up-to-date passing plays.
Others, like former UW and Seahawks quarterback Brock Huard, think the Seahawks will continue to look the same on offense in 2020.
But do you really need a more modern offense to succeed in the NFL?
In this week’s Football 101, former NFL linebacker and current Seahawks Radio Network color commentator Dave Wyman breaks down a particular play that showcased the San Francisco 49ers’ dominant running attack in the NFC Championship win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Keep in mind, the play is a run call on third-and-8.
