UW Huskies-Utah preview: Huard unPACs Utes’ monster in the middle
Oct 31, 2019, 2:39 PM
The UW Huskies will face a No. 9 Utah Utes team on Saturday that 710 ESPN Seattle host and FOX college football analyst Brock Huard says is playing as good as any team in the country right now.
unPAC with Brock Huard: Why Oregon had answer against UW Huskies
A big reason for that is Leki Fotu, a 6-foot-5, 335-pound behemoth in the middle of Utah’s defense at defensive tackle.
In this week’s edition of unPAC, Huard’s video breakdown of the PAC-12 conference, he takes a close look at what Fotu does that will make him such a concern for the UW Huskies. By the way, Huard will be on the call for the game on FOX.
Why is Fotu somebody to keep an eye on? Well, he could throw a wrench into any plans the Dawgs have to get their run game going, and that’s certainly a concern with junior running back Salvon Ahmed averaging 94.6 rushing yards per game and coming off a 140-yard performance in UW’s last contest.
Saturday’s game will be Washington’s first since falling 35-31 to then-No. 12 Oregon at home on Oct. 19, a game in which the Huskies led at halftime, had a 14-point lead in the third quarter and were ahead 31-28 before the Ducks scored a touchdown with 5:10 remaining in the fourth quarter.
