RENTON – Seahawks strong safety Kam Chancellor missed his second straight day of practice on Thursday, putting his availability for Sunday’s game against Cleveland into further question.
The Seahawks got some positive news elsewhere in their secondary, which was hit with two other injuries from Sunday’s win over Baltimore. Cornerbacks DeShawn Shead and Marcus Burley both injured their ankles, but Shead practiced Thursday in limited fashion after sitting out Wednesday while Burley has been a full participant both days.
Tight end Luke Willson was a full participant on Thursday as well, an indication that his rib injury likely won’t affect his availability. Willson was limited on Wednesday.
Defensive lineman Michael Bennett was limited after sitting out Wednesday’s practice. He’s dealing with soreness in a toe that has previously given him trouble, but coach Pete Carroll said it looks like he’ll be available Sunday.
Tight end Anthony McCoy (knee/ankle) missed his second straight day of practice as did defensive tackle Jordan Hill (toe) and defensive end Cliff Avril, whose absence was again listed as not injury-related. Coach Pete Carroll said earlier this week that Hill is a “ways off” his return.
Defensive end Demarcus Dobbs was a full participant after being limited on Wednesday. He’s missed the last two games due to a concussion.
