The Seahawks will do something on Sunday they haven’t done since 2016 – play a game without safety Bradley McDougald.
Rost: 3 Seahawks to watch in Week 7 game vs Baltimore Ravens
The 28-year-old McDougald has played every game since joining Seattle ahead of the 2017 season, but a back injury that popped up this week resulted in him being downgraded to out before the Seahawks arrived at CenturyLink Field to play the Ravens in a game set for 1:25 p.m. on 710 ESPN Seattle.
McDougald will have a streak of starts in 31 straight games ended Sunday, according to Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune.
The Seahawks’ secondary, which hasn’t necessarily been a strength of their defense this season, is lacking depth for Sunday’s game with both McDougald and fellow safety Lano Hill (elbow) ruled out. Hill was officially listed as doubtful on Friday’s final injury report but head coach Pete Carroll said in a press conference that same day that Hill would not play against Baltimore.
That leaves rookie Marquise Blair, a second-round draft pick, in line to get his first start for the Seahawks. The Utah Utes product has three tackles in four games played this season.
Defensive end Ziggy Ansah, who twisted his ankle on a fumble recovery a week ago in Seattle’s win over Cleveland, is another key member of the defensive inactive against the Ravens.
On offense, left tackle Duane Brown will sit for a second straight week with a bicep injury, but right tackle D.J. Fluker will play for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury on Oct. 3 in a Seahawks win over the Rams.

Here’s Baltimore’s inactive list, along with some commentary from 710 ESPN Seattle’s Jake Heaps:
Huge news for the Seahawks. Ravens most explosive WR and best CB not playing in the game.
Still going to be a very tough matchup but it certainly helps. #Seahawks https://t.co/ODTTIfu3lc
