XFL draft tracker: How the Seattle Dragons roster is shaping up

The Seattle Dragons have put together their initial roster for the XFL’s relaunch in 2020.

Here’s a look at every selection Seattle’s newest football team made in the XFL Draft on Tuesday and Wednesday.

DAY 1

Quarterback

Assignment: Brandon Silvers, Troy
6-3, 219 pounds, 25 years old

A four-year starter at Troy University, Silvers was All-Sun Belt as a senior in 2017 after leading the Trojans to a program-record 11-2 record. He passed for 10,677 yards over his college career (second in Troy history), completing 64.4% of his pass attempts and throwing 71 touchdowns for a passer rating of 135.8. Silvers spent time with the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles and New York Jets, and started three games for the Memphis Express last spring in the Alliance of American Football league.

Skill positions

Round 1: Trey Williams, RB, Texas A&M
5-8, 195 pounds, 26 years old

The former Texas A&M standout has bounced around with seven NFL teams, appearing in two games with the Colts in 2015, as well as spending time in the Canadian Football League and AAF. Williams rushed for 1,343 yards and 18 touchdowns on 204 carries over three seasons with the Aggies.

Round 2: Kenneth Farrow, RB, Houston
5-9, 215 pounds, 26 years old

Farrow played 13 games with the San Diego Chargers in 2016, rushing for 192 yards on 60 attempts. He also caught 13 passes for 70 yards. As a junior in college, he ran for 1,042 yards and 14 touchdowns. He finished his career with the Cougars 2,980 rushing yards and 34 touchdowns on 560 attempts, and 74 receptions for 546 yards and three TDs.

Round 3: Fred Ross, WR, Mississippi State
6-2, 210 pounds, 24 years old

Ross, a first-team All-SEC nomination during his time at Mississippi State, caught 88 passes for 1,007 yards and five TDs as a junior in 2015 and had 72 receptions for 917 yards and 12 TDs as a senior. He spent time with the Carolina Panthers in 2017 but landed on injured reserve with a high ankle sprain. According to the XFL’s official bio of Ross, he “has excellent coordination tracking the ball downfield” who was productive from “both the slot and from the outside” in college.

Round 4: Jace Amaro, TE, Texas Tech
6-5, 260 pounds, 27 years old

Amaro was a second-round selection in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Jets and played 17 games over two seasons with the Jets (2015) and Titans (2017). His 2015 campaign was cut short by a torn labrum that required surgery. He signed a reserve/future contract with the Kansas City Chiefs in January 2018 but was released just before the beginning of the regular season. With Texas Tech, he had a record-breaking junior year in 2013, registering 1,352 receiving yards (NCAA record for a tight end in a single season) and seven TDs on 106 catches to earn first-team All-America honors.

Round 5: Keenan Reynolds, WR, Navy
5-10, 191 pounds, 25 years old

Reynolds is a familiar name and face for Seattle Seahawks fans, having appeared in two games with Seattle in 2018. He spent most of the 2018 season on the practice squad and was with the Hawks until they cut down their roster to 53 ahead of the 2019 season at the end of August. He transitioned to wide receiver after playing quarterback for Navy all four years of his college career, starting 49 games. He was drafted in 2016 by the Baltimore Ravens in the seventh round. According to his XFL bio, “the former track star’s transition to the position is young, but his ability to make defenders miss with the ball in his hands projects a bright outlook for his career.”

Round 6: Evan Rodriguez, TE, Temple
6-1, 242 pounds, 31 years old

Rodriguez was a Chicago Bears fourth-round selection in 2012. He appeared in 20 combined NFL games with the Bears (2012), Bills (2013) and Buccaneers (2014), making four catches on nine targets for 21 yards.

Round 7: Kasen Williams, WR, Washington
6-2, 219 pounds, 26 years old

Williams is the top candidate to become a fan favorite out of the gate as he was a prep star at nearby Skyline High School (catching passes from 710 ESPN Seattle’s own Jake Heaps), played in college for the UW Huskies and spent two seasons with the Seahawks. Williams last played in the NFL with the Cleveland Browns in 2017, catching nine passes for 84 yards over seven games (two starts). He was previously a preseason standout with the Seahawks after a tough last two years at UW, where he was never completely 100% back as a senior after suffering a season-ending broken fibula in his junior season of 2015.

Round 8: John Santiago, WR, North Dakota
5-9, 187 pounds, 22 years old

A running back at North Dakota from 2015-18, Santiago rushed for 558 yards and a touchdown on 97 carries as a senior. His best game happened to come in Seattle, where he ran for a career-high 139 yards on 18 attempts in a 45-3 loss to the UW Huskies.

Round 9: Cam Clear, TE, Texas A&M
6-5, 273 pounds, 26 years old

Another former Aggie, Clear has spent time with the Indianapolis Colts and was with the AAF’s San Antonio Commanders.

Round 10: Malachi Jones, WR, Appalachian State
6-3, 215 pounds, 25 years old

Jones spent time with the Atlanta Falcons and Chicago Bears, was with the AAF’s Atlanta Legends and is an arena football veteran.

Offensive linemen

Round 1: Isaiah Battle, OT, Clemson
6-7, 310 pounds, 26 years old

Another former Seahawks player, Battle was a fifth-round selection of the Rams in 2015 who later spent time with Seattle in 2017 and 2018.

Round 2: Venzell Boulware, OG, Tennessee
6-3, 306 pounds, 22 years old

Played both at Tennessee and Miami (Fla.) in college.

Round 3: Dillon Day, C, Mississippi State
6-4, 296 pounds, 26 years old

Day has spent time with the NFL’s Broncos, Colts, Packers and 49ers.

Round 4: Cyril Richardson, OG, Baylor
6-5, 239 pounds, 28 years old

A fifth-round pick by the Bills in 2014, Richardson was an All-American at Baylor. He appeared in 12 games for the Bills in 2014, starting four.

Round 5: Quinterrius Eatmon, OT, South Florida
6-6, 313 pounds, 27 years old

Round 6: Michael Dunn, OT, Maryland
6-5, 300 pounds, 25

Round 7: Kirk Barron, C, Purdue
6-2, 300 pounds, 24 years old

Round 8: Jordan Rose, OT, Idaho
6-6, 315 pounds, 23 years old

Round 9: Robert Myers, OG, Tennessee State
6-5, 326 pounds, 27 years old

Was with the Seahawks in 2016 and 2017.

Round 10: Craig McCorkle, OT, California (Penn.)
6-5, 290 pounds

Defensive front seven

Round 1: Stansly Maponga, DE, TCU
6-2, 257 pounds, 28 years old

Played a combined 26 games with the Falcons (2013-14) and Giants (2015). Was a fifth-round pick by Atlanta in 2013.

Round 2: Nick Temple, LB, Cincinnati
5-10, 218 pounds, 26 years old

Played for the AAF’s San Antonio Commanders.

Round 3: Will Sutton, DT, Arizona State
6-1, 290 pounds, 28 years old

Appeared in 36 NFL games for the Chicago Bears from 2014-16, with 18 starts. A two-time All-American at ASU, Sutton was a third-round draft pick of the Bears and played in the AAF. According to his XFL bio, he is “a penetrating under tackle” who “generates pressure between the tackles or as a base end.”

Round 4: Tenny Palepoi, DE, Utah
6-1, 298 pounds, 28 years old

Appeared in 44 games with the Chargers combined in 2014, 2016 and 2017.

Round 5: Jacquies Smith, DE, Missouri
6-2, 260 pounds, 29 years old

A five-year NFL veteran who played seven games combined in 2018 with Oakland and Arizona, Smith is a “bendy edge rusher should come in and make an early contribution at the XFL level,” per his XFL bio.

Round 6: Steven Johnson, LB, Kansas
6-1, 237 pounds, 31 years old

Johnson is six-year NFL veteran who spent time with the Broncos, Titans, Steelers and Ravens.

Round 7: Taniela Tupou, DT, Washington
6-1, 284 pounds, 26 years old

A former star at Archbishop Murphy High School in Everett, Tupou appeared in 46 games for the UW Huskies in college and had a short stint as a combination fullback/DT with the Seahawks. He played two games in the NFL – one each with the Seahawks (2016) and Falcons (2017). He was in the AAF with the San Diego Fleet.

Round 8: Danny Ezechukwu, DE, Purdue
6-2, 250 pounds, 24 years old

Round 9: Pasoni Tasini, DT, Utah
6-3, 307 pounds, 26 years old

Tasini played one game in 2018 with the Arizona Cardinals.

Round 10: Praise Martin-Oguike, DE, Temple
6-1, 256 pounds, 26 years old

DAY 2

Defensive backfield

Round 1: Jhavonte Dean, CB, Miami (Fla.)
6-1, 185 pounds, 23 years old

Round 2: Chris Davis, CB, Auburn
5-11, 205 pounds, 28 years old

Davis, who spent two years with the NFL’s Chargers, is best known for his “Kick Six” play for Auburn, returning a missed field goal for a touchdown to lift Auburn over rival Alabama in the 2013 Iron Bowl.

Round 3: Kentrell Brice, S, Lousiana Tech
5-11, 200 pounds, 25 years old

Brice played 36 NFL games with the Green Bay Packers, including 14 starts.

Round 4: Steve Williams, CB, Cal
5-9, 181 pounds, 28 years old

Williams was a fifth-round NFL Draft selection by the Chargers in 2013 and played 33 games in the NFL before playing in the AAF earlier this year.

Round 5: Channing Stribling, CB, Michigan
6-1, 188 pounds, 24 years old

Round 6: Cody Brown, S, Arkansas State
6-2, 207 pounds, 25 years old

Round 7: Jordan Martin, S, Syracuse
6-3, 206 pounds, 24 years old

Round 8: Tyson Graham, S, South Dakota
6-2, 208 pounds, 25 years old

Round 9: Mohammed Seisay, S, Nebraska
6-2, 206 pounds, 29 years old

Seisay spent time with the Seahawks in 2015 and 2016 after being traded by the Detroit Lions to Seattle for 2016 sixth-round pick in August 2015. He played NFL games for the Lions, all in 2013.

Round 10: Sterling Moore, CB, SMU
5-9, 200 pounds, 29 years old

Moore has seven years of NFL experience under his belt and was a member of the 2011 AFC champion New England Patriots.
