On Thursday night, Félix Hernández said goodbye.

In his likely final start in a Seattle Mariners uniform, the franchise’s longest-tenured player went 5 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on five hits and four walks while striking out three. And he left the game with his team trailing 3-0.
He also left to a thunderous ovation. And another one. And, well, another one.
It was the King’s night, in front of his court – an especially sizable one, too, that covered all three levels in the left-field corner of T-Mobile Park.
