Watch: Looking back at the launch of 710 ESPN Seattle 10 years later

Jul 10, 2019, 11:14 AM

Every July 10, we at 710 ESPN Seattle celebrate 710 Day. And with this year marking our 10th on the air, we decided it would be a good time to look back at the origins of the station.

In the attached video, we tell the story of 710 ESPN Seattle’s launch, with hosts and other members of the team sharing stories you probably have never heard about what it was like to start a Seattle sports radio station in 2009 – not exactly a banner time for Seattle sports nor the most opportune time to launch a station.

This is just the first of what will be several videos looking at the history of 710 ESPN Seattle, so keep your eyes peeled for more in the coming months.
