The Seahawks were on the offensive with their third pick of the 2019 NFL Draft in more ways than one, first by trading up from 77th to 64th, then by selecting Old Miss wide receiver D.K. Metcalf.

Seahawks NFL Draft tracker

The 6-feet-3, 228-pound Metcalf becomes the first offensive player selected by Seattle this year, and just the second wide receiver drafted by Seattle in the second round or higher since 2014.

Metcalf appeared in just two games during his freshman season at Mississippi before suffering a broken foot. He rebounded with two strong seasons in 2017 and 2018, racking up a combined 1,215 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Metcalf drew more widespread attention with his performance at February’s NFL Combine. Metcalf ran a 4.33 40-yard dash (the fastest of any player weighing 225-pounds or more), had a 40.5 inch vertical, and matched ASU wide receiver N’Keal Harry’s bench press with 27 reps of 225 pounds.

Also, he looks like this.
