The Seahawks may have finally found their quarterback of the future.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Seahawks have signed former Packers quarterback Matt Flynn to a 3-year, $26 million deal, with $10 million of that being guaranteed.
Flynn agreed to the deal after visiting both the Seahawks and Miami Dolphins last week. Joe Philbin, the current head coach of the Dolphins, was Flynn’s offensive coordinator with the Packers last season.
Flynn, 26, has started two career games after being selected with the 209th overall pick in the 2008 draft. Last season, Flynn threw for 480 yards and six touchdowns during a Week 17 victory over the Detroit Lions.
