Watch: Brock & Salk face Mariners manager Scott Servais in BP

Brock and Salk are not professional baseball players. That’s something Mariners manager Scott Servais made abundantly clear after humoring 710 ESPN Seattle’s morning show by throwing batting practice to them at the team’s spring training complex in Peoria, Ariz., on Wednesday morning.
Need to Know: How do Mariners’ stars compare with elite teams?
Ever wonder what former NFL quarterback Brock Huard looks like in a batter’s box? Or his co-host, Mike Salk? Well look no further, as our intrepid Mariners insider, Shannon Drayer, was there to document the whole thing.
Not only that, but Shannon caught up with Servais after the hitting session, who was… let’s say rather blunt about what he saw from the swings of Huard, Salk and show producer Kyle Brown (and also disappointed show staple Boy Howdy wasn’t in Arizona because he would have “worn one right in the ribs”).
Somebody who was more receptive of the duo’s talents, however, was Mariners All-Star outfielder Mitch Haniger, who provided some tips before the BP began.
Lots of barrels!!
