Marshawn Lynch: Don’t be mad at Seahawks for call

Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is responding to all the flack the team is getting for the highly-debated final touchdown call in Monday night’s game against the Green Bay Packers.
“Everybody’s mad at the Seahawks,” Lynch says in a video released Tuesday. “We don’t make the calls.”
The final touchdown call in the Seahawks-Packers game has sparked hot debate. Russell Wilson threw the 24-yard touchdown pass and the crew of replacement officials agreed Seahawks receiver Golden Tate simultaneously caught the pass. Tate had wrestled for possession with Packers cornerback M.D. Jennings.
It was ruled on the field as a touchdown and after a lengthy review, referee Wayne Elliott came out from under the hood and announced “the ruling on the field stands” before the crowd at CenturyLink Field erupted in celebration.
The Packers were far from convinced that Tate had possession, and it seems everyone has chimed in on the call and the validity of the win.
Lynch says the anger shouldn’t be directed toward the team.
“We just play ball,” says Lynch. “Go Hawks!”
