The Seahawks will travel to Dallas in one of two NFC wild-card playoff games in a 5:15 p.m. Saturday night contest on Jan. 5, the NFL announced Sunday evening.
It will be the second meeting between the Seahawks and Cowboys this season. After opening the year 0-2, Seattle started its turnaround on the way to a postseason berth by beating Dallas 24-13 at CenturyLink Field in Week 3 – although that game was before Seattle had lost Earl Thomas to injury and the Cowboys had added Amari Cooper. Beginning with that win, the Seahawks finished out the regular season with a 10-4 record to clinch the NFC’s fifth seed and a wild-card spot.
The Cowboys, meanwhile, come into the postseason winners of seven of their last eight games, including a 36-35 win over the New York Giants on Sunday.
The Seahawks-Cowboys playoff game will be broadcast on 710 ESPN Seattle next Saturday beginning with the pregame show at 2 p.m.
