The XFL is officially coming to Seattle.
On the heels of Tuesday’s NHL expansion announcement, Seattle was announced as one of the eight inaugural cities to begin play when the new XFL football league kicks off in 2020. The Seattle team will play at CenturyLink Field, the home of the Seahawks and Sounders.

“Football fans in the Emerald City have long had a reputation of being loud – really loud – and it’s that energy and enthusiasm that convinced us that an XFL team will thrive in the Pacific Northwest at CenturyLink Field,” XFL commissioner Oliver Luck said Wednesday morning.
Dallas, Houston, LA, New York, St. Louis, Tampa Bay and Washington D.C. have also been named as host cities.
