Jake Heaps’ Film Room: Blocking led to one of biggest plays in UW Huskies’ win over Stanford

Nov 8, 2018, 11:14 AM | Updated: 11:22 am

The UW Huskies played themselves back into the Associated Press Top 25 with a 27-23 win over Stanford last Saturday, and they jumped out to a 14-0 lead early that proved to be valuable as the Cardinal made a run at a comeback late in the game.

UW Huskies LT Trey Adams may return for fifth season

In this week’s Husky version of Jake Heaps’ Film Room video series, he breaks down the play that pushed Washington’s advantage in the first quarter to 14 points.

On the play, the Huskies lined up in a dual-tight end set, quarterback Jake Browning rolled out on a naked bootleg and connected with Drew Sample on an 11-yard touchdown. Heaps shows how blocking was an especially important element in making the play a success.
