Stelton: Félix Hernández’s 2018 season reaches a sad turning point
Aug 8, 2018, 1:11 PM
If Félix Hernández was pitching for his spot in the rotation on Tuesday’s night, there’s not much of a chance he’ll be getting another start in 2018 for the Mariners.
Félix gave up 11 runs (seven earned) over six innings in an 11-4 loss to the Rangers, raising the 32-year-old right-hander’s ERA to 5.73 on the season.
In the attached video, 710 ESPN Seattle’s Bob Stelton reacts to Félix’s latest rough start and the condition it leaves the Mariners’ rotation in.
