Stelton: With Mariners’ offense struggling, Ben Gamel’s demotion is puzzling

The Mariners needed to send down an outfielder after acquiring Cameron Maybin in a trade on Tuesday. But Ben Gamel?

That particular move didn’t make sense to 710 ESPN Seattle’s Bob Stelton, who explains why in the attached video.

Stelton also takes on another issue he has with the Mariners this week – not addressing their lack of starting pitching depth before Tuesday’s non-waiver deadline.
