Quick pre game notes…

Luis Rodriguez playing 3rd base and hitting for second according to Eric Wedge this is for one day and one day only. Chone Figgins will be back in there tomorrow.

According to Wedge the day off was discussed on the roadtrip. The plan was to give him today or Wednesday off to get him two in a row to try and sort things out. When he returns it sounds like it will be to hitting second.

“It is just for one night,” Wedge said. “That is why Rodriguez is at 3rd.”

One other note…Shawn Kelley has been shut down and will return from his rehab assignment. He received a PRP (platelet rich plasma) injection in his right elbow today in Alabama and will be re-examined by Dr. Khalfayan when he returns to Seattle this weekend. He will not pitch for approximately one month. Eric Wedge does not anticipate any further procedures on his elbow will be required but we will not know more until he has had a chance to rest it. No timetable on a return has been set.

Will have more later…
