The Mariners will be without manager Scott Servais for the first two games of their series this weekend in Detroit.

Servais will miss the games Friday and Saturday in order to attend his daughter’s graduation from graduate school.

Servais: Stottlemyre was in no mood for jokes during Paxton’s no-hitter

Bench coach Manny Acta will serve as Mariners manager in his absence. Ichiro Suzuki will step up from his role as special assistant to bench coach for the two games.

Servais is expected to be back in time for the series finale at Comerica Park on Sunday.
