Monday Rewind: Leon Washington’s electrifying performance

On today’s show the Groz recounted yesterday’s thrilling 27-20 Seahawks victory over the San Diego Chargers. Leon Washington’s two kick returns for touchdowns was a topic of discussion, as the Seahawks now have a major scoring threat on special teams.
Seahawks rookie receiver Golden Tate joined the show to talk about how he wants to emulate the elusive Leon. “To see that guy run, protect the ball, and shed tacklers…he’s trully a blessed guy. Hopefully I can develop to be a dominant force like he is.”
Seahawks radio announcer Steve Raible has never seen two kickoff returns go for touchdowns in a single game. “Not in a game that I have either broadcast or been involved in. You just don’t see that kind of stuff, which made it such an exciting game.”
