This Sunday, the greatest offensive lineman in Seahawks history will be honored when his number “71” jersey will be raised to the Qwest Field rafters.

Future Hall of Famer Walter Jones joined the “Seahawks Huddle” Thursday, where he is looking forward to seeing his jersey up in the rafters next to Steve Largent’s “80” and the 12th Man’s “12”.

“It was a goal of mine coming into the league to want to get my jersey retired, and I like that,” Jones said. “So, to be honored like that, and to be doing it with the team that you started and ended your career – it’s amazing.”

Jones also reminisced about his 12-year playing career in Seattle, and what he misses the most being out of football on Thursday’s show.

Seahawks CB Marcus Trufant joined “The Huddle” to talk about how his brother – UW CB Desmond Trufant – is preparing for Saturday’s Apple Cup against Marcus’ alma mater, Washington State.

DT Junior Siavii explained how the Seahawk run defense must improve after last week’s dismal performance against the Kansas City Chiefs, where they got ran over for 270 yards rushing.

Seahawks insider Clare Farnsworth talked about the injury situations regarding wide receiver Mike Williams and DT Colin Cole before Thursday’s practice.

ESPN NFC West blogger Mike Sando talked about the Derek Anderson meltdown after their Monday Night Football loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Green Bay Packers Hall of Famer Jerry Kramer talked about his illustrious career playing under legendary coach Vince Lombardi, and talked about the upcoming NFL Veteran’s Fundraiser at Sport Restaurant after the Seahawks game on Sunday.
