The Seattle Mariners will open the 2019 MLB season with two games in Japan against the Oakland Athletics.

Mariners Table Setter: Offense, bullpen get it done on road trip

The Mariners will be the road team against the A’s at the Tokyo Dome on March 20-21. It will be the first time MLB regular season games are played in Japan since March 2012, which was also a two-game set between the Mariners and A’s at the Tokyo Dome.

It will be the fifth time MLB games will be played in Japan, which has occurred in 2000, 2004 and 2008, as well.

MLB also held games in Mexico in 1996, Australia in 2014, and Puerto Rico in 2001, 2010 and 2018.
