McGough threw for 2,791 yards and 17 touchdowns last season for the Golden Panthers. He finished his four-year college career with 9,091 yards and 65 touchdowns.
McGough becomes the fourth quarterback on Seattle’s roster, joining Russell Wilson, Austin Davis, and Stephen Morris – the latter of which is also a newcomer, signed to the Seahawks’ as a free agent earlier this spring. The Seahawks typically carry two quarterbacks for the year, and Wilson has yet to miss a game in his six-year career. However, the trio of Davis, Morris and McGough will add competition for the backup spot behind Wilson.
