After adding a running back, linebacker, and some help on defense, the Seahawks turned to their offensive line, selecting Ohio State tackle Jamarco Jones in the fifth round (168th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.
The 6-feet-4, 299-pound Jones started his last two years with the Buckeyes at left tackle and was named first-team All-Big Ten Conference in 2017. A shoulder injury sidelined Jones for part of his senior season, and knocks for his combine workout may have contributed to his slide into the fifth round. However, his upper body strength, agility, and quick feet ultimately proved too impressive for Seattle to pass up.
