The Mariners open a three game series against the Boston Red Sox tonight at Fenway Park and Red Sox’s Manager Terry Francona was nice enough to stop his game preparation to talk to the guys today. He touched on David Ortiz’s slump, coaching the new wave of young talent in the MLB today, and the upcoming series with the Mariners.
Also he commented on the Mariners surprising start to date saying,
“If you just play decent baseball you give yourself a chance and thats what they are doing right now.”
