Today on the show, Brock gave his take on matchups he feels the Seahawks will need to take advantage of in order to win Sunday.
Offensively, running the ball will be tough with so many injuries along the line, so Brock believes John Carlson’s ability to beat the Tampa 2 zone defense run by Indy will be imperative. Along those same lines, Brock feels both Carlson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh will need to generate yards after the catch (YAC) to turn short-intermediate routes into big plays.
On the defensive side of the ball, Brock looks for Aaron Curry to avoid over thinking, and to play “…with his hair on fire” . Pressing Dallas Clark to disrupt his timing will be mostly on Deon Grant, and Brock thinks if this does not happen, it’s game over. Lastly, Brock believes the front 4 will need to collapse the pocket around Peyton Manning, making him unable to slide around and by time.
