medium holmgren710 ESPN Seattle’s own John Clayton joined Mike Salk on the show today and spoke to Mike Holmgren’s candidacy for a front office position both with the Cleveland Browns and Seattle Seahawks.

According to The Professor, Randy Lerner has offered Mike Holmgren a position as “Czar” of the Cleveland Browns but the Seahawks are not as interested in Holmgren’s services for their vacant General Manager position.

John Clayton on whether the Seahawks’ are considering bringing in Mike Holmgren to interview for the General Manager job:

At this stage, no I dont think their plans are [to bring him in]. Now obviously plans change but I think the plan is, as of Thursday, that they are not going to reach out, they are going to go though their process. Maybe later on they might want to revisit the idea of talking to Mike but right now they don’t have any plans to do that.
