quincy-pondexterQuincy Pondexter joined the show today and he spoke to Brock and Mike about the ups and downs of his Senior season with the Huskies, how the team has worked to overcome their struggles on the road and he rejected any criticism of Coach Romar.

Quincy on being successful on the road:

We’ve had to clean up a few things to make sure we play how we do at Hec-Ed with the same defensive intensity and moving the ball. And really, just playing with energy, I think that really solves a lot of our problems.

On people criticizing Lorenzo Romar’s ability to develop players:

The people that say that, they don’t our program. I think they are completely wrong because he is a tremendous coach and a tremendous teacher. Without him, I wouldn’t be in the position I am in now. Coach Romar, he’s just really done a great job of teaching me the game. He’s really helped me mature my game in so many ways as well as all the guys on the team.

Quincy was a great guest on the show and he really provided a good deal of insight into what makes him a good leader on this UW Basketball team and how much respect he has for Coach Romar, another favorite of the show!
