Gonna be a huge show today as we are broadcasting from the VMAC for Seahawks mini-camp. Brandon Marshall was dealt to Miami this morning for two second round picks (the total value equivalent of about pick #28 in this year’s draft) so the Hawks do not not end up with him. Danny O’Neil is in for the noon hour to break this down plus ESPN’s Chris Mortenson joins us at 1:30 – he is very close to Bill Parcells so he should have great info on this.
Of course, Milton Bradley went yard in the eighth last night propelling the Mariners to a much-needed win. I don’t know why anybody would have suggested this team needs a big power bat in the middle of the lineup (like Jermaine Dye), do you? I filled in for Shannon Drayer last night and interviewed Bradley on the field after the game. One word: AWKWARD! You can hear the audio today.
Also, Jay Buhner played sooth-sayer last night and called the Bradley homer. Kinda like last year when Mike Blowers correctly predicted Tui’s first career home run down to the at bat, pitch, count and where it landed! We’ll dig that up today as well. It’s always fun to hear Rick Rizzs giggling in the background…
And speaking of Dye, Rob Neyer of ESPN dogged the idea of him fitting with the M’s. I’ll debate Rob at 11:45.
Plus, we are expecting some Seahawks players and guests here at mini-camp. Follow us on Twitter for the details as they get confirmed @brockandsalk. Should be fun!
